Navi did great drafts against Alliance, banning Lone Druid in every single game because Qojqva, the position two core player from Alliance, is an expert with the tier-one hero.
Alliance made a greedy draft in game one by having only one support, Keeper of the Light. The other four cores farmed aggressively, even stealing resources from enemies’ jungle.

Although Keeper of the Light was the only support in the team, he was still able to get his first core item – Refresher Orb – at the 34-minute mark.
He bought a total of 19 observer wards and 17 sentry wards in that game, as well as a gem that cost him 900 gold to de-wards and gain control of the map over the enemies.
Alliance had their victory in game one at the 46-minute mark when they tore down the throne of Navi.
Thanks to the awesome gameplay of Keeper of the Light in game one, Navi banned both he and Lone Druid in the first banning phase in the next game.
They also picked Lifestealer in this game and got him a Radiance by the 18-minute mark.

With that early Radiance, Phantom Lancer was unable to deal much impact in team fights with all those illusion.
At the 38-minute mark, Lifestealer purchased Mjollnir to easily wipe out the illusions of Phantom Lancer.
Lifestealer enjoyed 717 golds per minute, 9 kills and 14 assists when Alliance called GG.
In game three, Navi only banned Lone Druid, Sven and Chaos Knight, but not Keeper of the Light because they had the advantage of first pick and opted to steal the hero from Alliance.
Similar to Alliance’s strategy in game one, Sonneiko, the position five player from Navi, ran Keeper of the Light as the only support in the team and bought 14 observer wards as well as 19 sentry wards by the end of the game.
Navi also drafted Medusa, who gained advantage from Keeper of the Light’s ability to provide up to 320 mana to an ally.
Navi won the game when Medusa achieved 797 golds per minute.
Ninjas In Pyjamas easily whitewashed Gambit Esports, who made the mistake of drafting both Visage and Tiny as their first picks in both games.
NIP displayed great counter-draft skill to take maximum advantage of the situation, but it was Gambit’s overconfidence that decided the contest.

They also used Lifestealer to blind the Visage’s familiar and decrease shot accuracy by 17 per cent.
In game two, Ninjas In Pyjamas picked BristleBack, a tank hero that suffers 40 per cent less damage when enemies hit his back.
Micro-management skills are required to play Visage and it is hard to direct the familiar to attack BristleBack from the front.
BristleBack also purchased Crimson Guard, allowing allied heroes to block up to 60 damage for 12 seconds.
As the familiar’s basic damage is 60, it cannot deal any damage when Crimson Guard is active.

Looking into their draft against The Final Tribe on February 10, they focused on Lifestealer as their position one carry and Beastmaster and Puck as their secondary core to create space for Lifestealer.
Lifestealer has not been buffed in the latest patch, however, this hero is of a tier one standard in this meta. Buying a midas or straight away pumping him a Radiance is very strong in this meta because there a lot of physical damage dealer carries in this meta thanks to the mana regeneration reworked in patch 7.20 so magic damage dealer core hero is weaker now.

As Radiance providing an area of effect blindness in a 700 radius from the builder causing the enemies have a 17% of miss rate. Lifestealer with a radiance is doing a lot of impact in team fight because he is very tanky as well.
The Final Tribe realised they are unable to deal with Lifestealer because Lifestealer was too fat and had 1.5 times net worth above their position one carry at the 50-minute mark.
They had to spend too much of skills and effort in order to kill the Lifestealer. The other members of Vega Squadron can easily wipe out the whole squad of The Final Tribe after Lifestealer sacrificed himself by taking all the damage from the enemies.
In game two, DM picked Underlord to play as position two mid laner. This lineup is rare to see because Underlord only able to trade farm with the enemy, Underlord is very hard to harass the enemy in a 1 versus 1 lineup.
However, DM played that hero very well and forced Tiny out of the lane once Underlord reach his level eight. With the advantage of getting free tier 1 tower in mid, Underlord straight away went for radiance build after his Crimson Guard.

Unexpectedly, Pavaga Gaming upset The Pango in a best-of-one series yesterday. Winning against The Pango, one of the top five team in CIS region, definitely proved that Pava?a Gaming is ready to face off Vega Squadron in the upcoming match-up.
First, let us analyse their draft against The Pango. They were running a strong dual support – Shadow Demon and Earth Spirit. With these two roamers, they are always able to stun a unit for two seconds. Shadow Demon’s Disruption is to seal a enemy hero for 2.5 seconds so Earth Spirit is able to use his Rolling Boulder into the enemy after he came out from Disruption.
Before the 10-minute mark, Tiny from The Pango had three deaths thanks to successful roaming.
With that advantage ahead, Weaver built Dragon Lance and an early Maelstrom before the 15-minute mark to expand their map control further by constantly killing and catching enemies.
The game ended with 31 kills for Pavaga Gaming and only 3 deaths for them. Weaver also enjoyed 10 kills, around 33% of the team kills by himself.

OBG delivered a disappointing result against the Real Deal two days ago, losing their one-match series, despite a strong draft.
They took Ursa, Brewmaster and Medusa as their core heroes, creating space for Medusa to farm and level up faster while giving all the jungle resource to her.
However, their decision to Medusa in the safelane instead of mid lane was a bad move. Medusa is a hero in need of experience in order to reach level 25 to learn +1000 mana or split shot modifier.

Putting Medusa in safelane with Clockwerk Goblin and Shadow Shaman slowed down his leveling speed because there are always two supports taking his experience.
Although The Real Deal had problems dealing with Ursa in the mid lane, they were able to harass Medusa heavily in the bottom lane.
OBG needs to be more flexible when it comes to switching lanes in the early phase of the game to ensure their position one hero is able to farm.

The Final Tribe made an adjustment on their roster two weeks ago, by replacing Jonassomfan with Xibbe.
Xibbe is previously is a Heroes of Newerth(HON) player and similar to the other members of the squad. We guess this is the reason TFT has taken Xibbe into their squad in an attempt to build up the synergy much quicker.
We think that Jonassomfan is a better choice for TFT because Xibbe only came into the Dota 2 professional circuit two years ago and has yet to impress on the big stage.
TFT has played two matches with its new squad member, losing to Vega Squadron and Team Empire.

Navi just claimed their ticket to DreamLeague Season 11 as runner-up in DreamLeague Season 11 CIS Qualifier after whitewashing Gambit Esports 2-0 on February 4.
Navi’s draft against Vega Squadron two days ago was more than decent. The picked Tiny and Razor in first picking phase. Tiny is a hero that is able to play core or support role and Navi was able to adjust his role depending on the enemy draft.

Vega Squadron made a bold pick, drafting Shadow Demon as their core/position two in that game. Shadow Demon is buffed from patch 7.20 to 7.21, reducing both mana cost for his Soul Catcher and Shadow Poison. These buffs allow the hero to dominate the laning phase easily without spending money on utility items.
DM, the mid-laner from Vega Squadron, was the player who played Shadow Demon in that game. He started the game badly because Razor was constantly pressuring him with static link after he spent Disruption to escape from gank.
With all those pressure being put in laning phase, he was unable to farm nicely because both Nature Prophet and Anti-Mage had farmed the resource in the jungle.
Shadow Demon had only one kill and seven deaths by the end of the game.

Alliance, is displaying strong performance much better lately. Despite they lost against OG with 0-3 in the Finals of StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Europe Qualifier and lost their chance to join the main tournament of StarLadder, but their performance in group stage of the starladder was amazing, taking down both Vega Squadron and The Real Deal.
Forward to their playoffs match against Kaban, they also delivered a decent result by taking down Kaban with 2-0.
Alliance first drafted Sven in both game against Kaban. Sven is changed from patch 7.20 to patch 7.21, having a + 15 movement speed but nerfed his Warcry from providing 440 shield to 170+ 2.5 shield health per strength of Sven.
Of course, when Sven is playing core role, he can provide better shield health in late game but in early game or Sven as a support role, he can never provide a better shield health than last patch.
Alliance also understand that, so they put Sven into support position in game one and core in game 2.
Other than Sven, Navi have to be aware of Qojqva’s Lone Druid. Kaban first banned Lone Druid in both games against Alliance. Kaban respected his gameplay of Lone Druid and Navi should be doing the same to have a better chance of winning this match-up.

Old But Gold formed up just two weeks ago and features Illidan, G, 633, Vanskor and velheor. All five members from this team are very good in their Dota 2, skill especially Illidan, who participated in The International 5 and is known for his signature heroes including Slark and Morphing.

Despite their apparent inexperience playing together, Old But Gold can certainly claim to be a tier 1 team as far as their achievements in the game goes. They earned their trip to Cybersport Arena, Kiev by claiming the second place in StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor CIS Qualifier.
Although this is just a Minor tournament, they still able to grab the chance make it to DreamLeague Season 11, the Major tournament if they able to take down other seven teams in Starladder.
Similar to team Kaban, Old but Gold is one of the teams that plays Chaos Knight in this patch. However, Old but Gold only put Chaos Knight into core, while Kaban is able to put this hero into a core or support role.

Their draft was disappointing for this level of play. They drafted Timbersaw and Sven in game one against Vega Squadron yesterday, which should have been a strong move because Timbersaw is very tanky and Sven is able to provide him shield.
However, Ancient Apparition countered their draft very hard. Ancient Apparition’s ultimate ability – Ice Blast – applied a curse to any target it touches, preventing the target healing and if the unit drops below the threshold of 12% of their maximum health point, they will instantly die.
Although Timbersaw is very tanky thanks to his third ability providing him health regeneration and armour, Ancient Apparition was still able to hunt him down with Ice Blast.
The Real Deal is going to have to do better in the draft phase if they want to win this match-up.
