Ukrainian esports organization Monte has announced the signing of Alexander “br0” Bro on Wednesday, just in time for the fall season.

The Counter-Strike player will fill the spot on the starting roster left by Mohammad “?BOROS” Malhas, who moved to Falcons in June.

Previously, br0 played with Astralis’ academy roster, where he achieved an average rating of 1.09 over 234 maps during his nine-month tenure.

His performance during LAN fixtures was even more impressive, as he scored a rating of 1.15 for offline events. During his time with the academy roster, the team clinched victories in events such as the NPF Invitational and the recently concluded POWER Ligaen Season 23 Finals.

The Danish player also had multiple online tournament wins with Astralis Talent, including the Champion of Champions Tour North Europe Series 4. The team also made it to the quarter-finals of the BetBoom Playlist Freedom 2023.

After a strong performance at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where Monte finished in 5th-8th place, the Ukrainian team reached its peak at No. 10 in the world rankings. They held a 3-2 record during the event, notching victories over top-tier teams like FURIA, Fnatic, and Natus Vincere before falling to GamerLegion in the quarter-finals.

br0 now completes Monte’s CS:GO lineup, which includes Volodymyr “?Woro2k?” Veletniuk, Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, Sergiy “?DemQQ?” Demchenko, and Szymon “?kRaSnaL?” Mrozek.

Monte is set to debut their new team in the Intel Extreme Masters Cologne Play-in, which runs from July 26 to July 28. They secured a place in this event due to their top ranking in the ESL world rankings.

Additionally, Monte is set to participate in the qualifier for the Thunderpick World Championship 2023.

Montes CS:GO coach Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov announced on Friday that he would not attend the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with the squad due to Ukraines strict regulations.

LMBT explained the reasons behind his absence at the upcoming tournament on his Telegram channel. According to the Ukrainian coach, despite the organisations efforts to evade it, he had to adhere to the new laws of his home country.

Due to the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, men between the ages of 18 and 60 were prohibited from leaving the country. People previously acquired permission to leave the country, but since stricter laws were introduced, this has been significantly more difficult to obtain.

“We did everything we could, but I’m definitely not going to the Major with the team because the war dictates its own laws, and the new rules make it impossible. But the guys are as ready as possible, and I’m sure of them,” LMBT said.

“It’s going to be a weird feeling to watch my team compete at Major from the studio, but I really have a lot of faith in the guys. You all have to give them a lot of support.”

This leaves Monte without a coach going into the BLAST.tv Paris Major. The team recorded an impressive run in the Europe RMR B tournament, where they finished in fourth place with only one loss.

Monte reached a 3-1 record after winning against teams like FORZE, ENCE, and Cloud9. Heroic was their only loss in the group stage, following another defeat in the Legends Stage decider by Team Vitality.

Monte has recorded even more victories since the RMR, winning the CCT West Europe Series 3. They also recorded a runner-up place at the CCT Central Europe Series 6.

The CS:GO lineup is set to begin their run in the tournaments Challengers stage on Monday. They will face off against one of the events favourites, FaZe, in a best-of-one format.

Monte is a +5000 shot to win the Blast.tv Paris Major, with the favourites being G2 Esports (+300) at the top esports betting sites.

Ukrainian esports outfit Monte Esports announced on Wednesday that they have signed Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev to their 2023 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster.

Sdy has been teamless for only three weeks, and this signing will be a relief to his fans, as now they are sure to see him play in the competitive CS:GO scene. The 25-year-old rifler was only released from the Natus Vincere on January 30, 2022, where he served as a stand-in for a period of six months.

The Ukrainian prodigy started his CS:GO career in early 2017 and has since then played for a handful of known esports teams, such as Team Spirit and MAD Lions. In his early career, he also played for other teams like the Dream, 5FRAGS.ORG, Spraynpray, and ELquvet.

The team’s new rifler has also won a couple of tournaments, which include the DreamHack Open January 2021: Europe, the 2021 Pinnacle Cup II, and the BLAST Premier Spring Finals. Having won these tournaments, he has also come close to winning others, although he was cut halfway through the finals, which earned him a second-place finish. The events include the 2019 Champions Cup Finals and the 2022 Intel Extreme Masters XVIICologne.

It is very obvious that sdy will be the star player on the team, being that he has more experience than the other players and he is coming from a more renowned team in the CS:GO scene. This addition will be a plus to the Monte roster, as the rifler will be bringing with him his years of experience and definitely influencing the gameplay positively with his expertise. Monte Esports already acknowledged him as the teams salvager by saying he is “the confidence we need” in a post.

“HERE WE GO! @somedieyoungCS joins Monte The experience we lack. The confidence we need.
The victories we are waiting for. Wear our jersey with pride, bro #MonteGang,” Monte Esports tweeted.

Sdy also took to his social media accounts to announce his new team. He also reassured his fans and Monte Esports that he was going to give it his all in representing the team at his best.

“Not the easy way, but i truly believe in this project, we will gain it step by step. Show some love for @Monte_Esports @woro2k @boroscs @kRaSNaLkox @demqqqq and of course our amazing coach @LMBT_CSGO Thanks to my loyal people, love y’all <3," sdy said in a tweet. On the same day the team revealed the acquisition of sdy, they also announced the signing of Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov as their new coach for this season. Imbt will take the place of Aidyn "KrizzeN" Turlybekov, who was the teams former coach. Currently, the Ukrainian CS:GO team consists of 21-year-old in-game leader Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk, the 21-year-old rifler, Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko, Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, Szymon "kRaSnaL" Mrozek, sdy, and their new coach Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov. On February 1st, Monte Esports will face off against Portuguese team SAW at the ESL Challenger League Season 44: Europe. Monte is placed at $2.46 odds and SAW at $1.52 odds with gg.bet.
