Rainbow Six Siege North America League 2024 Stage 2 continues with the fifth round on Thursday, September 19. Here are our free R6S betting picks for Wildcard vs DarkZero Esports, Oxygen Esports vs M80, and Luminosity Gaming vs Soniqs, with esports odds courtesy of top bookmakers in BetOnline.

Wildcard are one of the weakest Rainbow Six Siege teams in the North America League. They have already lost three games in regulation at this stage; however, they beat Oxygen Esports last Thursday, which was a good sign.

DarkZero Esports performed poorly in their 2-7 defeat to Soniqs to open the stage, but they have since beaten Spacestation Gaming and LOS. It’s not a terrible start for Roberto “Panbazou” Feliciano and company, but we will have to see more from DarkZero to make any firm conclusions.

The departure of Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski has put DarkZero Esports in a questionable spot. Still, while they should do worse without the 28-year-old veteran, DarkZero are unlikely to struggle against one of the bottom teams in the region.

Oxygen Esports are 0-0-1-2 with a -7 round differential. They have so far lost to Spacestation Gaming, LOS, and Wildcard, although they should have won the most recent of those series. This core has been together for over six months, so there is no excuse for Oxygen’s struggles.

M80 are not one of the leading contenders to win the league, but they have done well beating Cloud9 Beastcoast and Wildcard Gaming and forcing Soniqs to overtime. That is a promising run, but like with most other mid-table teams, M80 still need to show more against the top sides.

While M80 are rightly favourites with top Rainbow Six Siege betting sites, their odds look far too short. With a 3.5-round advantage at -156.25, Oxygen are the clear choice.

Luminosity Gaming are 2-0-0-2 with six points; however, they still have a lot more to prove, having only beaten M80 and LOS. On the other hand, Luminosity posted good results in Stage 1, and they did not do too poorly during the Esports World Cup 2024.

With the signing of Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski, Soniqs became the leading contenders to win the league, and they have started strongly. So far, Soniqs have beaten Wildcard, DarkZero Esports, and M80, although they lost their most recent outing against Spacestation Gaming in overtime.

Even though Soniqs have failed to produce a perfect record, it is hard to doubt them against any team outside of the top three.

Another week of esports kicks off on September 16, 2024, with Counter-Strike 2 taking centre stage.

The third and final week of ESL Pro League Season 20 will kick off on Tuesday, September 17, with the first round of the playoffs.

Due to the Dota 2, Rocket League and Call of Duty seasons ending over the last few weeks, there will be a break before more S-Tier events kick off again, leaving the ESL Pro League as the only event that will be covered for the week ahead.

  • CS2 ESL Pro League Season 20

The ESL Pro League group stage ended on Sunday, September 15, leaving us with the top 16 squads that will compete for the ESL Pro League Season 20 title over the next seven days.

Team Vitality, G2 Esports, M80 and Natus Vincere won’t play their first series of the playoffs until Thursday and Friday after they secured quarter-final berths.

Eternal Fire, MIBR, Team Liquid and Imperial Esports await the winners of the opening round matches in the second round of the playoffs.

IMPERIAL ESPORTS vs M80 CS2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

    Best Odds: Imperial -151.52 at BetOnline | M80 +120 at BetOnline When: September 14, 2024 | 19:30 CEST Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/ESLCS)

Imperial Esports and M80 will meet on Saturday, September 14, in the Group C upper-bracket final of ESL Pro League Season 20. Both teams have exceeded expectations — especially the Brazilian lineup, who bested MOUZ in the upper-bracket semifinal.

Imperial’s strong showing on Wednesday explains the betting odds offered by the top Counter-Strike bookmakers, although it is not fair to overlook what M80 have produced so far. While they have had an easier path, Elias “s1n” Stein still bested Complexity and Fnatic, which is no small feat.

M80 have an impressive 8-2 record from their last 10 outings, yet just three of their five players hold a positive average rating in ESL Pro League Season 20. In contrast, all but Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo on Imperial have gone at 1.06 or better over their last two series.

Jo?o “felps” Vasconcellos (1.29) and Lucas “decenty” Bacelar (1.37) have been the driving force behind Imperial’s Cinderella run. On the other hand, M80 have a better win rate on four of the seven maps: Anubis (100%), Ancient (78%), Vertigo (50%), and Inferno (75%).

At -151.52, Imperial Esports are given a 60.2% implied probability of beating M80, which makes sense considering their victory against MOUZ. However, the world’s No.5 team haven’t been in the best shape of late, so that result can be taken with a grain of salt.

While this is Imperial’s game to lose, M80 should not be underestimated. If they can play around their maps, the American-German lineup should be able to put up a decent fight.

Astralis’ struggles continued at ESL Pro League Season 20 as Complexity sent them to the Last Chance Stage in a scrappy series.

Both teams faced challenges, but Complexity’s individual prowess carried them over the line in overtime on Vertigo (19-17) and Inferno (16-14).

Complexity now faces Imperial Esports, while Astralis battles Rooster to stay alive in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament.

Despite rebuilding their roster after failing to qualify for the PGL Major Copenhagen, Astralis has seen their form decline since notable top-four finishes at IEM Chengdu and ESL Pro League Season 19.

Their recent loss to Fnatic in the EPL opener left them hoping for a rebound against a struggling Complexity.

However, Astralis fell short, with star AWPer Nicolai “device” Reedtz underperforming, leading to an apology on social media.

Poor offensive play and bizarre mid-round decisions added to their woes.

Complexity, though far from perfect, edged out Astralis thanks to standout performances from Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and H?kon “hallzerk” Fj?rli.

While Complexity may not take much pride in barely defeating an out-of-form Astralis, their better gun round performance on Inferno and individual firepower got the job done.

MOUZ also saw disappointment in their ESL Pro League campaign, losing to Imperial in overtime on Dust2 (16-14) and Inferno (16-13).

Despite being ranked No. 1 earlier this year and having a strong season, MOUZ faltered, with players like Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin struggling significantly, posting just six kills on Inferno.

Imperial capitalised on MOUZs mistakes, with standout performances from Lucas “decenty” Bacelar and Jo?o “felps” Vasconcellos, advancing them to a seeding match.

M80 made headlines with a record-breaking 71-round match against fnatic on Anubis, the longest Counter-Strike 2 map on HLTV.

M80 won the epic battle in octuple overtime (37-34) before also taking Inferno in extra time (16-13).

Their victory secured a playoff spot and marked a breakthrough for North American CS, making them the first NA team outside Complexity and Liquid to reach Big Event playoffs since 2019.

GRID Esports has unveiled Berlin, Germany, as the location for the LAN portion of the Thunderpick World Championship 2024, scheduled for November 2-3 with an impressive US$850,000 prize pool.

The tournament will feature 16 of the best Counter-Strike 2 teams from around the world, competing for the lion’s share of the US$1,000,000 total prize pool, which includes the US$150,000 that was on offer for each of the six qualifiers.

The event kicks off with an online stage from October 21-26, where teams will battle in a single-elimination best-of-three bracket.

The top four teams will then advance to the LAN finals in Berlin.

The LAN event will follow the same format, concluding with a third-place decider match.

Six teams have already qualified for the tournament: Cloud9 and BLEED Esports from Europe, Legacy and M80 from North America, and BESTIA and Imperial from South America.

They will be joined by 10 invited teams, with Team Falcons, Heroic, Fnatic, and BIG among the first announced.

This is the second edition of the Thunderpick World Championship, with FaZe Clan winning last years entirely online event and claiming the $250,000 top prize.

This year’s prize pool has increased, with $500,000 reserved for the winner.

After a break following the online stage, the LAN finals promise to deliver two days of intense CS2 action.

Group C at ESL Pro League Season 20 starts with a clash between Astralis and Fnatic, who have yet to face off this season. But even with no head-to-head fixtures, it is easy to see why Astralis are expected to win.

Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and co. have not won a tournament this year and didn’t make it very far at Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024 in August. However, Astralis have posted promising performances against the world’s elite teams over the last month, which gives hope they are slowly finding momentum.

Fnatic are 2-3 from their last five series, with those wins coming against Cloud9 and OG — hardly world-beaters. Nevertheless, they have shown improvement, and with the talent on this roster, they should be able to make some noise in Malta.

At -153.85 to take a map off Astralis, Fnatic are an obvious choice.

Imperial Esports are priced as slight favourites to defeat BIG, who have failed to find much success at the top level this year. On the other side, Imperial have not won any significant titles either, so it is not like the teams’ accomplishments are the main differentiating factor.

The Brazilians are in a much better spot in terms of map pools, with a better win rate on all maps except for Ancient, which is BIG’s second-best map, but it will likely get banned. Imperial also come out ahead on individual form, with all five players averaging a 1.04 performance rating or higher.

Despite all that, we have to consider that Imperial have been playing weaker opponents than BIG of late. Expect a close affair.

Team Liquid had an explosive start to IEM Cologne 2024 at the beginning of August but failed to make it past FaZe Clan (twice) and crashed out of the tournament in seventh-eighth place. Prior to that, Liquid won BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, and they did well at IEM Dallas 2024, so something is working for this lineup.

Since their former lineup fell apart, ENCE have not come close to winning a single big event. They’ve been particularly disappointing over the last month, with early exits from IEM Rio 2024, Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, and ThunderPick World Championship 2024 qualifiers.

As the latest Counter-Strike esports odds suggest, this should be a one-sided affair. Anything less than a 2-0 sweep would be a major disappointment for Team Liquid.

Complexity beat M80 16-14 in the second round of the Esports World Cup 2024 in July, and they are expected to do just as well on Tuesday. This is unsurprising considering Complexity’s solid performances over the next month, which includes competitive games against the world’s elite teams.

M80 have also shown excellent form throughout August, although most of their wins have come from ESL Challenger League Season 48: North America, where Elias “s1n” Stein and co. faced lesser regional opponents.

Complexity are a more proven team at the top level. However, clashes between regional rivals are often closer than expected, which makes M80 a solid pick to take at least one map.

RED Canids are one of the lowest-ranked Counter-Strike teams at ESL Pro League Season 20, and according to the top Counter-Strike betting sites, they are not expected to make it very far. At +315, RED Canids are given a 24.1% implied probability of winning, but they face a Virtus.pro outfit that is not in the best shape.

The Russians are 3-7 from their last 10 outings, with those wins coming against Zero Tenacity, BIG, and the struggling Team Falcons. While that run includes clashes with stronger teams than what RED Canids have had to face, it does not change the fact that Virtus.pro have not been playing well.

RED Canids are in stronger form and have a better win rate on six of the seven maps in the rotation. Even though VP are rightly the favourites, the underdogs should be good for one map.

Team Falcons have the potential to do well in this tournament. But even five months after finalising their roster with Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, they are not in the spot everyone expected them to be.

They have had a couple of solid showings, most recently with a grand final appearance at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Summer 2024. Still, the Falcons also placed 9th-12th at the Fall Groups and Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024, although most of their struggles have come against the world’s elite Counter-Strike teams.

M80 replaced NRG for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 and seem to be in solid form, yet all of their success this season has come in lesser events. So, while M80 have been winning games, they are not that great when playing at such a high level.

Complexity have a realistic chance to finish top of their BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 group; however, this will not be clear until the next round, when the North American squad will likely face off against Team Falcons.

The expectations on Metizport are far lower. As the world’s No.90 squad, the Swedes have not once this year appeared in a tournament of this scale, while they recently replaced Jack “Jackinho” Str?m Mattsson with Lucas “L00m1” Haukland.

Zero Tenacity recently ended their losing streak, picking up a few wins over the last week. However, all of their recent games were against lower-rated teams, so it is unlikely the Balkan lineup will manage to translate that success to this fixture.

Following a disappointing performance on the opening day against Natus Vincere, where they were convincingly beaten 2-0 by the reigning Counter-Strike 2 Major champions, the all-Brazilian roster rattled off three straight wins to advance.

FURIA’s first series was an international battle between Brazil and Australia, as the world number 18 took on the all-Aussie squad of FlyQuest.

After a back-and-forth first half that ended 7-5 in favour of the Brazilians, FURIA won six straight rounds in the second half to claim a 13-5 victory on Nuke.

The second series of the day should have been much easier for FURIA, as they clashed with Sashi, who is 14 places lower than them on the world rankings; however, the Danish squad pushed them all the way to overtime.

Both teams traded 8-4 halves on Nuke before going to overtime, where FURIA claimed seven of the 10 rounds to take a gritty 19-15 victory and advance to the grand final against The Mongolz.

Their opponent had a much easier run to the final, recording dominant wins over MIBR (13-2) and M80 (13-8) in their first two matches of the bracket.

For the third straight series, FURIA played on Nuke and they started hot against the Mongolian roster, claiming an 8-4 halftime lead.

The two teams traded rounds in the second half, which allowed FURIA to wrap up the match in the 22nd round and record a 13-9 win.

With the win, FURIA booked their spot in the playoffs, setting up a clash with MOUZ in the quarter-finals.

To conclude the second day of the Esports World Cup CS2 event, G2 Esports and Team Spirit kicked off the playoff stage, with the world’s top-ranked team taking on the new lineup of G2.

Although Spirit entered the series as heavy favourites, it would be the underdogs who would take the first map with a 13-8 scoreline on Mirage.

Spirit had to respond on their map pick, Nuke, and even though they were pushed to extra rounds, the world number one claimed a 16-14 win to send the series to a third map.

However, much like the first map, G2 sprinted out to an early lead on Ancient with a 9-3 halftime lead before quickly converting it into a 13-5 win.

With this result, the favourites with most esports betting sites to lift the Esports World Cup trophy are now eliminated.

G2 will face the winner of the Team Vitality vs Virtus.pro quarter-final in the semi-final on Saturday.

G2 Esports has secured a spot in the playoffs of ESL Pro League Season 19 after a thrilling victory over M80 in the Group B Last Chance Stage.

Their revenge win included a nail-biting triple overtime on Ancient as the two Counter-Strike teams traded rounds late, before a tense match on Inferno.

In their previous encounter, M80 had sent G2 to the Last Chance Stage after a surprising upset, dominating on Ancient but barely edging out a victory on Vertigo.

G2’s journey through the Last Chance Stage was exhausting, as Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kova? mentioned in the post-game broadcast.

Their fatigue was evident, especially for NiKo, who struggled at the start of Ancient, facing disadvantageous duels and missing timings.

M80 initially took the lead, but G2 fought back, led by Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kova? and with NiKo making a monumental recovery in the later stages.

NiKo’s clutch plays helped G2 force multiple overtimes and eventually secure the win.

Moving to Inferno, M80 faced an uphill battle, unable to beat G2 in their previous encounter.

Although they had some close rounds, G2 ultimately dominated, with NiKo delivering another standout performance, including a crucial smoke defuse that shattered M80’s hopes.

Meanwhile, Virtus.pro secured their playoff spot after successful wins against Fnatic and SAW in the Last Chance Stage.

This victory marked their fifth consecutive win over SAW, with Evgenii ‘FL1T’ Lebedev and Petr ‘fame’ Bolyshev leading the charge.

Denis ‘electroNic’ Sharipov, VP’s newest addition, highlighted the team’s ongoing adjustment process, emphasizing the need to find the right balance in their gameplay.

Vertigo, a map previously permabanned by electroNic, became a part of VP’s strategy, with the team performing well on it throughout the tournament.

In their series against SAW, Virtus.pro dominated Vertigo, showcasing their strength on the map.

Despite some early clutches from SAW on Overpass, Virtus.pro’s solid defence and individual performances secured their victory, sealing their place in the playoffs.

After the first week of play, we bid farewell to M80 and SAW, along with Imperial, Sharks, Fnatic, Team Falcons, Eternal Fire and TYLOO.

Meanwhile, Astralis, 3DMAX, FaZe Clan, Virtus.pro, Team Vitality, TheMongolz, BetBoom and G2 Esports advanced to the playoffs from Groups A and B.

The 19th season of the ESL Pro League will continue on April 30 as the teams in Groups C and D kick off their campaigns.

In a thrilling series, M80 pulled off a surprising 2-1 (13-2, 16-19, 22-19) upset against G2 Esports, sending them down to the Last Chance Stage of Group B at the 19th season of the ESL Pro League in Malta.

The Counter-Strike match, spanning three maps with multiple overtimes, showcased M80’s resilience and G2’s struggles.

The series began with a dominant performance from M80 on Ancient, taking a 13-2 victory.

Despite G2’s early warning after winning a force buy on the CT side, M80’s lead was challenged.

On Inferno, G2 fought back from a 1-7 deficit, forcing overtime and eventually winning, with Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov leading the charge.

Vertigo followed a similar pattern, with G2 clawing back from a 7-2 deficit to force overtime again and eventually winning the series.

Despite M80 having several match points, they failed to close out, leading to a tense conclusion on the ninth match point, which M80 finally secured.

G2’s frustration was evident, with their Danish in-game leader expressing embarrassment in a tweet after the match. They now face Falcons in the Last Chance Stage.

On the other hand, M80’s victory set up a rematch against BetBoom, the team that initially sent them to the lower bracket.

Despite feeling they threw many rounds, M80 managed to regain their energy and secure the win.

In another series, FaZe Clan secured their spot in the ESL Pro League playoffs by defeating Eternal Fire 2-1 (9-13, 13-11, 13-8) in a three-map battle.

FaZe struggled on Anubis and Mirage but managed to level up on Inferno, winning comfortably after some key plays, including a momentum-turning 1vs3 by Helvijs ‘broky’ Saukants.

FaZe’s Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen expressed relief at having some days off before the playoffs, indicating they would focus on improving their performance on Anubis and Ancient.

The final series of the day saw BetBoom qualify for the playoffs after claiming a 2-1 (7-13, 13-6, 16-14) victory in a marathon series against M80.

Despite M80’s strong start on Ancient, BetBoom managed to turn the tide and secure victories on Mirage and Anubis, completing a double over M80 in the tournament.

Lastly, Sharks and Imperial became the first two teams to be eliminated from ESL Pro League S19 after suffering their third straight defeat of the event.
