We rarely bet on Nigma to win 2-0 since they can be very unpredictable, but they’re also known to step up when it matters. HCE are just not good enough to compete in this division, which is why we have to taken the favourites to cover the map line.

?A win here would secure Alliance direct promotion to the group stage of ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021, whereas a 0-2 loss would see Team Liquid take their place. This is the most important match of the tournament for both sides, and it’s also their final match of the event.

These teams last met way back in November 2020, when Team Liquid won 2-0. That marked their sixth head-to-head victory of the year and their fourth across the last five meetings dating back to May 2020. ?Betting on Team Nigma to lose at least one map has proven to be a very profitable strategy of late, and we have another such opportunity on our hands as they take on Tundra Esports. The ex-mudgolems squad enter this match with a 2-3 record and a 7-6 map differential, which is solid going for a team of this calibre.

Tundra’s only defeat of the month happened last Tuesday when they lost against Alliance, although they held on well and even won a map, so it wouldn’t be fair to criticize them too much for effort. In the weeks prior, Tundra swept Team Liquid (2-0) and High Coast Esports (2-0) and stole one map off OG (2-1), so it’s not like they lack quality.

There is a world where Tundra steal the win, but we are hesitant about betting against Nigma’s stacked roster. Over 2.5 maps is a safer bet at a good price.

Team Secret have yet to lose a series this tournament, and if the latest odds at esports betting sites are any indication, that won’t change on Tuesday.

Even though there is no denying Secret are a much stronger team than High Coast Esports, we can’t ignore odds that imply HCE have only a 15.4% chance of winning – very low for an online match. Those prices look even more lopsided when you consider that High Coast stole a map off OG and then stomped Vikin.gg in their last outing.

We don’t expect HCE to win, but stealing one map off the high-flying Secret should be within the realms of possibility. At the offered odds, we have to take a shot on HCE to cover the map line.

?OG reverse-swept Team Nigma (2-1) last round to secure their ninth head-to-head victory against the ex-Team Liquid core. Vikin.gg were far less impressive in their last outing when they got stomped by High Coast Esports (0-2).

OG racked up a solid 6-3 head-to-head record against Vikin.gg across 2020, and even though these sides have yet to meet this year, it’s easy to see how this match should end. OG are slowly finding their long-lost form, and as long as they can recreate their performance from Tuesday, this should be an easy 2-0 win for the reigning champions of The International.

?Team Secret enter this match with a perfect 4-0 record and a similarly impressive 8-1 map differential. Only mudgolems (now Tundra Esports) have given them any issues so far this season, but that hardly means anything since that was Secret’s first match after the break.

Similarly, Alliance’s only questionable result came during the first week of the competition when they lost against Team Nigma (1-2), but they have since bested the likes of OG, High Coast Esports and Tundra.

To say Secret historically do well against Alliance would be an understatement, seeing how they have lost only one head-to-head series since the 2017 Kiev Major qualifiers, and even that was a narrow 1-2 defeat in June 2019. To put it into perspective, Team Secret hold a 20-1-1 head-to-head record against Alliance over the last four years, which includes 17 clean sweeps.

Alliance are still one of the strongest European Dota 2 esports teams, but they usually fall flat against Team Secret and we don’t expect that to change on Saturday.

?Team Nigma suffered their second successive loss of the tournament on Saturday when they were outclassed by Vikin.gg (1-2), which is not a good look for Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi and his crew. That said, their results are not much worse than that of OG, who struggled against High Coast Esports (2-1) and Tundra Esports (2-1) and even lost against Alliance (0-2).

On a more positive note, OG have had a lot of time to reflect on their performances since they haven’t played a single match in over a week. There is a world where Nigma win, but even if they manage to upset the shaky OG, we don’t expect a clean sweep. Over 2.5 maps is the safest bet for this match at a very good price.

?Vikin.gg have yet to win a single match this tournament and have lost seven in their last 10 outings (3-7). What’s more, their only three wins in that stretch came against Spider Pigzs, Hippomaniacs and Chicken Fighters (now High Coast Esports) who are all weaker than Team Nigma.

Nigma enter this match off their first loss of the tournament against Team Secret (0-2), but have previously beaten Alliance (2-1) and Team Liquid (2-1). Despite their solid record, Nigma are still a very hit-or-miss team, which makes it extremely difficult to trust them with a map handicap.

Nigma have managed a clean sweep win only twice across the last 15 best-of-three (Bo3) series and had to settle for a 2-1 victory over Vikin.gg in all of their last four meetings. Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp might not be in good form, but stealing one map off Nigma shouldn’t be to hard.

Team Secret are slowly finding their early-mid 2020 form when they were nearly unstoppable, and while they’re looking fairly sharp, Secret are by no means untouchable. They are currently the only unbeaten team at the tournament, having already bested mudgolems (2-1), Vikin.gg (2-0) and Team Nigma (2-0) but even with those results, it’s hard to say Secret got properly tested.

Team Liquid have suffered an upset loss on Tuesday against Tundra Esports (0-2), but one loss alone is not enough for us to start doubting in them. Liquid have won only four series against Secret in 2020 (4-10), but managed to win twice in their last four meetings, including a 2-0 sweep in December.

Secret should win this match more times than not, but they’re a bit too pricey for us to side with them. Liquid are capable of causing some damage and at $1.67, they’re worth a bet with a map handicap.

?Alliance enter this match off a 2-0 win against OG that marked their first victory of the tournament and third of the year. They previously bested Hellbear Smashers (2-1) and mudgolems (2-1) during the DreamLeague S14 DPC Decider Tournament.

High Coast Esports have already lost to OG (1-2), Team Liquid (0-2) and Tundra Esports (0-2) this tournament, and are 2-4 in 2021. Their only two victories of the year came at the start of January against Hellbear Smashers (2-0) and Spider Pigzs (2-1) while still playing as Chicken Fighters.

Even though these early-season matches are very volatile, we have to favour Alliance over a High Coast outfit who have yet to show anything since the turn of the year. We are siding with Alliance to win 2-0 and cover the line.

?Tundra Esports deserve some praise for their performances against Team Secret (1-2) and High Coast Esports (2-0), but even with those results, it’s hard to believe they can cause an upset on Tuesday. However, while we would normally side with Team Liquid in the head-to-head stakes, there is far more value to be found in the kill handicap market.

Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi and his crew should win this match more times than not, but we don’t expect a completely one-sided affair. Tundra field enough individual talent to keep this match relatively close, and at these odds we have to take the underdogs at the +10.5 kill handicap. Team Secret should win this match more times than not, but even with a map handicap, the Dota 2 betting odds are not big enough for us to take the bet. Vikin.gg are more than capable of stealing one map off the rusty Secret, and the price for the +1.5 handicap is too good to ignore.

Alliance enter this match off a 1-2 defeat against Team Nigma last Wednesday. Their next opponents, OG, have yet to lose a single match this tournament, although it’s hard to be overly excited about their narrow 2-1 victories against High Coast Esports and Tundra Esports.

There is no denying OG are a very strong team, but they are not as solid as they should be. OG have either lost the series or dropped a map in eight of their last nine outings, and since they have faced teams weaker than or equally as strong as Alliance, it’s fair to expect another close series.

Over 2.5 maps is an excellent bet in our book. There is also some value on Alliance to win at +169, which might appeal to some.

Team Liquid started their 2021 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) campaign with a 2-0 sweep of Vikin.gg and a 1-2 loss against Team Nigma on Saturday. Their next opponents, High Coast Esports (formerly Chicken Fighters and Ninjas in Pyjamas), enter this match with only a 1-2 loss to OG under their belt.

If we want to know how these two squads match up, we have to take a look at how Liquid did against Ninjas in Pyjamas from April to November. Out of four meetings, Liquid won only once (2-1) and suffered three defeats, two of which were clean sweeps.

Liquid have since improved, but we shouldn’t overlook the head-to-head record. High Coast Esports to cover the map line is a long shot, but it’s a good one at a solid price.

The reigning champions of The International, OG, will take on mudgolems on Tuesday having secured a narrow 2-1 victory in their opener against High Coast Esports on Saturday. Mudgolems have also played only one fixture so far and lost 1-2 against Team Secret.

OG enter this match as massive favourites, which is reasonable since they field one of the strongest rosters in the world. However, this is still one of their first fixtures after a month-long break, and they showed a bit of ring rust in their clash with High Coast.

Expecting mudgolems to win is a bit too optimistic, even though they stole one map off Team Secret. Regardless, mudgolems to win one map and cover the spread at -133.33 is a bet we are happy to take.
