ESB’s free Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting tips for Thursday focus on the quarter-finals of DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. Here are our CS:GO betting predictions for G2 Esports vs Astralis and FURIA vs Natus Vincere.

G2 ESPORTS vs ASTRALIS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: May 7, 2021 at 16:45 CEST

?
With the departure of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz to Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis are now left with a huge void that wont be easy to fill. While losing a player of his calibre is worrying, we are a bit more concerned with what dev1ce’s departure means in the greater picture.

Once a team that dominated the world, Astralis are now seemingly on the brink of collapsing, with rumours suggesting dev1ce won’t be the only player to leave the prominent Danish esports organisation this year. As a result of that internal turmoil, Astralis performances have suffered; they have won only two out of their last six outings.

G2 Esports, on the other side, are on the rise, largely thanks to the strong performances from Nikola “NiKo” Kova?, who has been averaging a 1.15 rating for the past three months. At these odds, it’s hard to think of a reason to bet against the favourites.

NATUS VINCERE vs FURIA CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: May 7, 2021 at 20:00 CEST

?
Natus Vincere enter the quarter-finals after a 1-2 reverse-sweep loss to Gambit Esports in Group A finals, having previously beaten mousesports (16-14) and Virtus.pro (2-0). FURIA were slightly less convincing with their 6-16 loss to BIG in the opening round of the group stage, but they then went on to dominate the lower bracket with clean sweeps of paiN Gaming, Complexity, and Team Vitality.

FURIA and Natus Vincere last met in March, when FURIA won 2-0 (16-10, 16-14), but it was NaVi who swept the Brazilian side in all of their previous four meetings dating back to July 2019.

In their current form isn’t a lot to set these two sides apart. NaVi come off as slight favourites, but not by enough for us to consider siding with them at the offered CS:GO odds. FURIA to win at +130 is a value bet we can’t pass on.

ESB brings you Counter-Strike: Global Offensive betting predictions for four bouts in Group A of DreamHack Masters Spring 2021. Here are our betting tips for Gambit Esports vs Team Fiend, Team Spirit vs G2 Esports, Natus Vincere vs mousesports, and FaZe Clan vs Virtus.pro.

GAMBIT ESPORTS vs TEAM FIEND CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: April 29, 2021 at 12:00 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_csgo)

?This is a match that many expect to end with a clean victory from Gambit Esports, but we have our reasons to doubt that. Even though Gambit are stronger and much more successful than Team Fiend, the underdogs have a legitimate chance to cause some damage.

Looking at the map records, the bout will likely play out on either Inferno or Mirage, where both sides perform well. The second thing that works in Fiend’s favour is that Gambit usually do well against top teams because they are very good at analysing their opponents’ demos C of which Team Fiend have very few.

Last, but not least, this is an online best-of-one (Bo1) match, which are notorious for upset wins. While we don’t think Fiend will win, the +6.5 rounds handicap at -108.7 is just too good to pass on.

TEAM SPIRIT vs G2 ESPORTS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

CS:GO Betting Odds: Spirit -151.52 at BetOnline | G2 +126 at BetOnline
When: April 29, 2021 at 12:00 CEST

?Team Spirit and G2 Esports last met just over a week ago at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021, where G2 won 2-1. Before that, these sides clashed at IEM Katowice back in February, when Spirit won 2-1 having lost their previous meeting 0-2 in December.

Spirit are arguably the more consistent team, but on a good day G2 can be stronger. The question is whether it’s worth risking our money on G2 and hoping they show up on Thursday.

Since this is a Bo1 bout, the answer is yes. The general rule of thumb in Bo1 series is to take the better odds if the underdogs have a chance to win, and with the quality of players G2 possess, they can definitely come away with a win.

NATUS VINCERE vs MOUSESPORTS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: April 29, 2021 at 13:10 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_csgo)

Natus Vincere tend to underperform in tournament openers, so backing mousesports would appear to make sense. That said, we don’t believe mouz are good enough to upset the Ukrainian side.

Mouz might have the occasional flash of greatness, but they aren’t playing well. That is mainly because they lack a proper in-game leader, which they lost with the departure of Finn “karrigan” Andersen to FaZe Clan in February.

NaVi are not a perfect team either. Their inability to execute strategies points to IGL problems, so in that aspect, these sides are similar. Regardless, NaVi still boast better players, which should tip the scale in their favour. Mouz shouldn’t win more than 12 rounds.

FAZE CLAN vs VIRTUS.PRO CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

When: April 29, 2021 at 13:10 CEST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_csgo)

?FaZe Clans roster is arguably good enough to compete for a Major Championship title, but from the looks of it, they have yet to find the needed synergy to take the step up in class. FaZe have won only 37.5% of their matches since January and have shown only marginal progress since signing karrigan.

Virtus.pro are 4-6 in their last five and have lost all of their last three fixtures, going down to Complexity (1-2), forZe (0-2), and HAVU (1-2). We have talked about this team overperforming at IEM Katowice, and those results suggest we might be right.

On paper, Virtus.pro seem like the stronger team, but that doesn’t explain the short odds. The value is with FaZe Clan.

The DreamHack Masters: Last Chance is the final online event of the ESL Pro Tour 2020/21 Circuit before the IEM Katowice 2021, so it should not come off as a surprise it attracted some of the biggest names in the scene. Along with exciting fixtures also come excellent betting opportunities, which we will explore in todays free StarCraft II esports betting predictions.

ZEST vs CLEM SCII BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Event: ESL Pro Tour – Dreamhack Masters

When: January 12, 2021 at 15:50 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/esl_sc2)

This will mark Joo “Zest” Sung Wook’s first meeting with Clment “Clem” Desplanches since late August 2020, when the French StarCraftII esports pro won 4-0. It marked Clem’s third head-to-head victory of the year and his second in a row after a 1-0 sweep at the start of the same month.

Zest has since produced a mixed bag of results and enters this match with a 3-3 record since the turn of the year. Clem, meanwhile, has played only one game in 2021 against Grzegorz “MaNa” Komincz, which he won 3-0.

Clem seems a bit underrated at the provided odds. A fairer price would sit closer to $1.60, which makes the young Frenchman a great value bet, that you should consider as part of SCII betting strategy.

TEAM LIQUID vs MUDGOLEMS DOTA 2 BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

Dota 2 Betting Odds: Liquid -153.85 at BetOnline | mudgolems +112 at BetOnline
When: December 4, 2020 at 14:00 CET
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/team/epicenter)

?After a shaky start to the tournament, Team Liquid have seemingly found their rhythm and now enter the penultimate day of the competition on a three-game winning streak. That run includes wins against Team Secret (2-0), Alliance (2-0) and OG (2-1).

Mudgolems had a decent start with 2-1 wins against Just Error and Team Nigma, but they have since cooled down and now enter the final week of the tournament on a four-game losing streak. They stole a map off Alliance (1-2) on Saturday, but that’s hardly worth celebrating.

We don’t see how mudgolems can stand up to Liquid in their current form. A 2-0 sweep is a realistic possibility, but the odds are high enough for us to settle for an outright bet on Liquid.

?Natus Vincere began their journey in the EPIC League with wins against Team Liquid, Just Error and Alliance, but they then went on to lose against OG, Team Nigma and Virtus.pro. Vikin.gg, meanwhile, have been very consistent throughout the tournament, winning all but one fixture.

The only issue we have with Vikin.gg is their tendency to drop maps. Regardless of that, they consistently outperform any team that stands in their way. The odds are not particularly high, but anything above $1.60 for the favourites is worth a bet.

When: December 4, 2020 at 20:00 CET

?Alliance’s run through the EPIC League has been anything but praiseworthy. Nevertheless, they’re still the only team at the tournament who have bested Vikin.gg, so it’s fair to say Alliance are not to be written off entirely.

Virtus.pro enter this match with a very solid 5-2 record, but we were not too impressed with their recent performances against Vikin.gg (1-2), Team Liquid (1-2) and Natus Vincere (2-1).

Normally, we would side with Virtus.pro for this one, but Alliance look a bit overpriced. The Swedish side stole a map off Team Secret on Sunday, which is something only a handful of teams have managed to do this season. If that is any indication of their strength, we have no issues taking a shot on the outsiders.

When: December 4, 2020 at 22:00 KST
Watch Live: Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/intotheclancom)

?Lee “Rogue” Byeong Yeol and Kim “Cure” Doh Wook will clash in the IntoTheAlphaX Pro Circuit 4 semi-finals this Friday, which will mark their second meeting of the tournament. They previously met during the first group stage, where Rogue claimed a convincing 2-0 win that marked his fourth head-to-head victory since February.

After his commanding run through the first stage, Rogue went on to dominate in the second group stage, where he finished ahead of Shin “RagnaroK” Hee Bum, Lee Bunny Jae-seon and Park “Dark” Ryung-woo. Cure, on the other hand, had to settle for a runner-up finish in his group behind Cho “Trap” Sung Ho.

Even though Rogue is clearly in better shape, there is some value in siding with Cure to keep this match close. He forced Rogue to five maps (2-3) on Tuesday and not long ago swept Cho “Dream” Joong Hyuk, which leads us to believe he has more to offer than what the latest StarCraft II betting odds suggest.

?After a humiliating 0-2 loss against Renegades in the upper bracket, Chiefs Esports Club will now seek redemption against Avant Gaming, who lost their opening match of the tournament against ORDER (1-2).

Avant enter this match as heavy favourites over Chiefs, which is fair considering they have beaten their rival team in nine out of 11 maps played since June.

While these Oceanic CS:GO bouts are usually 50/50, there is nothing that would lead us to believe Chiefs can cause an upset here. The -102.04 on Avant to win 2-0 is a good price.

FNATIC vs DIGNITAS CS:GO BETTING & MATCH DETAILS

?Fnatic and Dignitas last met just under two weeks ago when Adam “friberg” Friberg and his crew won with 16-6 on Dust II and 16-14 on Inferno. Dignitas have not played a single match since then, whereas Fnatic outlasted MAD Lions (2-0) in the next round of the competition.

While it makes sense to see Fnatic priced as the favourites, they are notoriously inconsistent in online fixtures. Considering Dignitas came very close to forcing a three-map series last time out, they should not be priced above +100 to win one map.

?Even though we are not ready to believe the new MiBR are a top-tier team, they made quite a statement with their 2-0 sweep of FaZe Clan at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown, as well as with their three-map series against BIG (twice) and G2 Esports earlier this month. OG, meanwhile, have managed a 3-2 record in their last five outings, defeating Cloud9 (2-0), Gen.G (2-0) and Virtus.pro (2-1) but losing to Gen.G (0-2) and Team Spirit (0-2).

While these teams have similar form lines, MiBR have had to play against much stronger sides and look severely overpriced at +163 in the match betting.

?G2 Esports and Sprout have both lost only two games in their last five. While G2 had to play tougher opponents, they also dropped maps against mousesports (2-1), North (2-1) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (1-2) – all arguably at the same level as Sprout.

G2 might field one of the most stacked rosters in Europe, but they are not nearly as consistent as they should be. Due to their frequent slip-ups, we believe this match could be much closer than what the latest CS:GO betting odds suggest.

?Despite numerous roster changes, Cyberium have yet to find their footing and only seem to do well against teams that are either weak, out of form, or dealing with internal issues. Gambit Esports produced far more consistent results early in the tournament but have since cooled down, dropping the ball against Team Empire (0-2) last Friday.

The biggest issue with Gambit is their tendency to drop maps. They have lost at least one map in all but one of their last nine fixtures, including a 2-1 win against Cyberium at the EPIC League qualifiers. While theyre the most likely victors, we cant trust Gambit to walk away with a clean sweep.

?Yellow Submarine enter the final two rounds of the EPIC League with no defeats and a 14-1 map differential, whereas Spider Pigzs have managed only three wins and a 10-7 map differential.

Spider Pigzs have also lost three out of their last four fixtures, going down to Gambit Esports (1-2), Live to Win (1-2) and Ninjas in Pyjamas (0-2). They beat Cyberium (2-1) on Saturday, but that means little when Cyberium were already certain to finish outside the top six.

FlyQuest, Team Liquid & TSM Seek Redemption at LoL Worlds

The North American teams didn’t get off to the greatest of starts in the group stage of the League of Legends World Championship. The region’s three representatives all fell to their opponents in their opening battles and are ready to take on this week with a fresh mindset.

FlyQuest, Liquid, and Team SoloMid will be up against DRX, G2 Esports, and LGD Gaming respectively in Tuesday’s matchups. As those three teams are all among the strongest in the world, LoL betting sites have the American sides as outsiders in each contest.

BTRG Lose Another Player

It seems as though BTRG are in hot water after three players reached their boiling points in the last two weeks. The latest member to leaves the active roster, Hyun-Pyo “?XigN?” Lee, claims the team breached several contract obligations. Hes not the first, and we doubt hell be the last.

The remaining roster consists of just two players and the coach. If the claims made by XigN, Anthony “?ImpressioN?” Lim, and Kevin “?Eeyore?” Gunawan are true, BTRG will struggle to find replacements. The team have underperformed in their recent battles, with CS:GO betting sites losing faith in them altogether. Its unlikely theyll be the favorites at bookmakers in any contest until they sort out their internal issues.

ATK and Energy in Umzansi Esports League finals

Were onto the finals of the Umzansi Esports League Counter-Strike competition, where ATK Arena will look to dominate Energy Esports once again. ATK have outpaced, outsmarted, and outplayed every opponent that crosses their path, and theres no indication that the final round will be any different.

Energy Esports fell to ATK in the group stages 5-16 and are the underdogs across South African betting sites. ATK are sitting at a record winning streak of 18 and will be more than happy to push it to 19 in their best-of-three series against Energy.

Dota 2: ESL Meisterschaft 2020 Season 2

The first matchup on Tuesday looks a tight contest between ESG and Brame in their first head-to-head battle. Itll be an interesting one to watch, as the two teams are similar in their strengths and weaknesses. Were with the Dota 2 betting sites in backing Brame, who have won both their games so far.

The other clash of the day sees German betting sites favor 5 Comrades in their battle against Abfahrt, who have been in poor form lately and only registered a win on matchday two due to a foreiture.

After their performance over the weekend, TeamOne and Yeah Gaming progressed to secure a spot in the DreamHack Masters Winter 2020 North America main event. The two Brazilian teams are the first to join Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses in the final field.

Were awaiting who the final four invitations will go to, but theres still plenty of time as the main event will only kick off towards the end of November. With the four current rosters, US esports betting sites have their odds in favor of Evil Geniuses.

However, the odds at most Australian esports betting sites favor Spag and Sons, who have a slight advantage on the overall scope and parameters. Spag also have a significant amount of recent tournament experience, making them more comfortable in the competitive atmosphere.

FAZE vs BIG DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: EUROPE BETTING PREVIEW

After topping their group in the first stage of the tournament, FaZe Clan and BIG will meet on Tuesday in the opening round of the DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 playoffs.

FaZe Clan enter the knockout phase after a perfect 3-0 run through the group stage, but there is more to their record than meets the eye. While Nikola “NiKo” Kova? and his team managed to get out of Group C as the only undefeated team, their performances were rather lacklustre.

In the opening group match, FaZe looked very shaky against GODSENT (2-1), who took one map off them with a narrow 16-14 win on Inferno. Things did not look any more promising on the second day when FaZe struggled to edge out a win against Spirit with two overtime triumphs on Dust II (19-15) and Nuke (19-17). It’s also worth noting that Spirit had to replace Nikolai “mir” Bitiukov – the highest-rated player in the series – with Dmitrii “Dima” Bandurka on the second map due to connectivity issues.

Despite their shaky performances against two B-Tier teams, FaZe managed to pick up a 2-0 win against Fnatic in the final match to regain some confidence ahead of the playoffs. They enter this match with a 7-3 record from their last 10 fixtures and 65.4% win rate across the last three months, which is slightly worse than BIG’s 70.7% win rate in the same period.

Like FaZe, BIG head to the playoffs as the strongest team from their group. They were also unbeaten, taking down FLASHPOINT champions MAD Lions (2-1), mousesports (2-1) and Complexity Gaming (2-1).

In their opening match against MAD Lions, BIG lost the first map (11-16) but bounced back with strong showings on Nuke (16-7) and Vertigo (16-13). Their clash with mousesports played out similarly, with BIG losing the first map (20-22) and producing a reverse sweep with a narrow 16-14 win on Vertigo and a 16-2 stomp on Dust II. The Germans then produced another reverse sweep against Complexity, bouncing back from an 18-22 loss on Mirage with a pair of 16-11 results on Vertigo and Dust II.

Since their win over Complexity, BIG have defeated ALTERNATE aTTax (2-0) in the finals of Merkur Masters Season 1, stomped Unicorns of Love (2-0) in the semi-finals of ESL Meisterschaft: Spring 2020 and lost to Sprout (0-2) in the subsequent grand finals.

FAZE vs BIG DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: EUROPE BETTING PREDICTIONS

All five BIG players have been in good form since the Counter-Strike esports scene transitioned to the online format. Their average rating across the last three months is 1.12, with Can “XANTARES” D?rtkarde?, Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and Florian “syrsoN” Rische all averaging 1.17 or more.

The same can be said for FaZe Clan’s players, who are averaging 1.10 rating across the last three months. NiKo is the best-performing player on the team with a 1.22 rating, while Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson’s temporary replacement, Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras, holds the lowest mark at 1.02.

This will be the first meeting between FaZe and BIG in eight months, so we can’t use BIG’s 2-1 win at Esports Championship Series Season 8 as any indication how this match will play out. Having said that, FaZe’s recent showings suggest they may struggle here.

Although FaZe boast superior firepower, it’s difficult to side with a team who are fielding an unproven talent in Bymas. While the Lithuanian stand-in is playing better than the recently departed olofmeister, his performances are still far from what FaZe need to be as dominant as they once were.

As seen in the group stage, FaZe are susceptible to losing maps even against much weaker teams. Considering how solid BIG have been in recent months, there is great value in backing the underdogs to spring an upset here.

ASTRALIS VS NINJAS IN PYJAMAS DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: EUROPE BETTING PREVIEW

Ninjas in Pyjamas will meet Astralis in the DreamHack Masters Spring: Europe lower bracket fixture on Tuesday, when the two European titans will duke it out for a guaranteed top-eight finish and 65 Electronic Sports League (ESL) Pro Tour points.

To say Astralis struggled throughout the group stage of DreamHack Masters Spring would be an understatement. Although the Danes came away with a 2-1 record, their overall performances were rather disappointing.

In the opening match, Astralis took down Heroic, although they faced strong resistance on both Train (19-16) and Inferno (16-14). Things improved slightly in their clash with North (16-4 and 16-8), but G2 Esports took down the former world no.1 team with dominant performances on both Dust II (16-13) and Nuke (16-7) to secure a spot in the upper bracket.

While it is somewhat surprising to see the four-time Major champions struggle to such a degree, we must remember that the current version of Astralis fields only three core members. In-game leader Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander has taken medical leave, while Andreas “Xyp9x” H?jsleth stepped down from the active roster at the end of May.

As their replacements, Astralis decided to field the recently signed Jakob “JUGi” Hansen and acquired Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer from Heroic as a stand-in player. Additionally, Emil “Magisk” Reif has been moved to the IGL role, which has negatively affected his performances.

Historically, Ninjas in Pyjamas have struggled against their southern neighbours. However, the Swedes will surely fancy their chances against the weakened Astralis, who they defeated 16-7 at the start of the month at the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown.

Like Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas did not produce any remarkable results throughout the DreamHack Masters Spring group stage, but it would be fair to say that Hampus “hampus” Poser and his team were placed in a much tougher group. They started their run with a pair of 0-2 losses against Team Vitality and Natus Vincere but bounced back with a 2-0 sweep against ENCE on the final day.

Before the DreamHack Masters, Ninjas in Pyjamas participated at the ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe, where they looked very sharp throughout the group stage but fell short against FaZe Clan (1-2) and Vitality (1-2) in the playoffs to finish in fifth place.

Similarly to Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas recently made a change to their IGL position. In May they benched Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson and replaced him with hampus, who arrived from GamerLegion. After a slow start, hampus has adapted to life at NiP and the team’s results have picked up accordingly.

ASTRALIS VS NINJAS IN PYJAMAS DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: EUROPE BETTING PREDICTIONS

Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated Astralis on June 1 at the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown. While it is risky to value a best-of-one (Bo1) match too highly, that result is a clear indication that the Danes are not the same team with new players.

Snappi and JUGi are not suitable replacements for Xyp9x and gla1ve and without their two core players, Astralis are a shadow of their former selves. What’s more, Magisk taking over as an IGL has seen his average rating plummet well below 1.00, meaning all the pressure falls on Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen.

The latest odds at CS:GO betting sites favour Ninjas in Pyjamas here, but we expected them to be much shorter. The -1.5 map handicap on NiP is a bit of a stretch, but the young Swedish team should get the win.

Renegades defeated Avant Gaming on Sunday in the DreamHack Masters Spring Oceania grand finals, taking home US $10,000 in prize money and 185 Electronic Sports League (EPL) Pro Tour points.

Christopher “dexter” Nong and his team entered the best-of-five (Bo5) decider from the upper bracket. That gave them a default one-map advantage over Avant, who earned their spot on the big stage with a reverse-sweep win against ORDER (2-1) in the lower bracket finals.

Renegades defeated Avant 2-1 in the upper bracket finals on Thursday. The victory did not come easy for dexter and his team over the weekend, however, as they had to play out all of the remaining four maps to claim a hard-fought win over their regional rivals.

The grand finals began on Avants map pick, Dust II, where Mike “ap0c” Aliferis and co. got off to a strong start by winning four straight rounds against the heavily favorited Renegades. They failed to take advantage of their early lead, however, as the margin was whittled down to one round at 8-7 by half-time.

Avant quickly picked up the pace on CT-side, winning the opening three rounds to go 10-8 up before Renegades struck back by pocketing five out of the next six rounds to take a 13-11 lead. The favourites’ enthusiasm did not last for long, however, as Avant regained the control of the map by winning five rounds in a row to come out ahead 16-13.

Avant translated their momentum onto Nuke, where they took advantage of CT-side superiority and sealed the first half with a commanding 13-2 lead. While the leaders saw far less success on the other side, they mustered up the remaining three rounds to seal a 2-1 series lead.

With victory in sight, things turned grim for Avant on Mirage, where Renegades came to life and secured an 11-4 lead by the end of the first half. Dexter and his crew continued with strong showings on T-side by picking up the opening three rounds. While Avant managed to win seven out of the next eight rounds, Simon “Sico” Williams and Liam “malta” Schembri carried Renegades to a commanding 16-10 win with 1.66 and 1.50 ratings respectively.

The series came down to Inferno, where the two Australian esports squads went back and forth for the first 15 rounds as Renegades eked out an 8-7 lead. While Avant looked strong towards the end of the first half, they fell apart after switching over to T-side. Renegades came out of the gates flying, defended the bombsite with ease and won seven out of the next eight rounds to claim a 15-8 lead.

With only one round separating them from the title, Renegades let their foot off the gas and allowed Avant to pick up three rounds, but ap0c and his crew were only delaying the inevitable as they couldn’t stop Joshua “INS” Potter from carrying Renegades to a win with his remarkable 1.71 rating.

The win at DreamHack Masters Spring Oceania gave Renegades their second title in the space of a month, as they also took out first place at the regional ESL One: Road to Rio event in May.

INS ended the series with the highest rating (1.27) across both teams, closely followed by dexter (1.25). On the other side, ap0c emerged as the only Avant player with a positive rating (1.07), with Euan “sterling” Moore (0.98), Chris “ofnu” Hanley (0.93), Jared “HaZR” O’Bree (0.88) and Peter “BL1TZ” Athanasatos (0.82) all falling short of the mark.

ORDER vs AVANT GAMING DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: OCEANIA BETTING PREVIEW

ORDER and Avant Gaming will meet for the ninth time this year when they lock horns at the Oceanic DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 tournament this Wednesday.

ORDER enter the event with an impressive 81.25 per cent win rate over the past three months. Notable results in that time include runner-up finishes at the Asia Minor Championship – Rio 2020: Oceanic Closed Qualifier, ESL ANZ Champs Season 10 and ESL One: Road to Rio – Oceania, as well as the ESEA Season 33: Premier Division – Australia title.

ORDER are also currently competing at ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Australia, where they hold a perfect 10-0 series record and 163-68 map record. In that run they have picked up wins against some of the strongest Australian CS:GO esports teams, including Chiefs ESC (16-7), Avant (16-11), Rooster (19-16) and Ground Zero (16-4).

Although they lost Jordan “Hatz” Bajic to Renegades in January and in-game leader Chris “emagine” Rowlands to retirement in February, ORDER have not taken long to rebuild their roster as one of the strongest in the region. Since the arrival of Jireh “J1rah” Youakim from Avant at the start of March, ORDER have lost only six games out of 32 played – a remarkable run by anybody’s measure.

Even those losses came against Renegades and Avant, each beating ORDER three times. While tucks and his team have yet to defeat Renegades, they got their revenge against Avant three times, levelling their head-to-head record at 3-3.

Avants most recent roster changes came in January, when they signed Chris “ofnu” Hanley and Peter “BL1TZ” Athanasatos from Chiefs as replacements for Ju-young “soju_j” Jeong and J1rah. The duo teamed up with core members Euan “sterling” Moore, Jared “HaZR” O’Bree and Mike “apoc” Aliferis, who all joined the Australian esports organisation in May 2019.

With the new roster, Avant finished fourth at the Intel Extreme Masters XIV – World Championship: Oceanic Qualifier, fifth-sixth at the Asia Minor Championship – Rio 2020: Oceanic Closed Qualifier, second at ESEA Season 33: Premier Division – Australia, as well as first at ESL ANZ Champs Season 10 and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Oceanic Qualifier.

Looking at their last 10 fixtures, Avant lost to ORDER (11-16), Paradox Gaming (1-2) and Incept eSport (14-16), while their record from the past three months shows a very solid 76.7 per cent win rate.

ORDER vs AVANT GAMING DREAMHACK MASTERS SPRING 2020: OCEANIA BETTING PREDICTIONS

These teams last met in the ESEA Season 34: Premier Division – Australia: Regular Season, where ORDER came away with a commanding 16-11 win on Nuke.

Although Avant managed to keep up the pace with ORDER throughout the first half of that game, they won only three rounds out of the remaining 12 rounds on T-side. The main culprits for their subpar performance were sterling, HaZR and ofnu, who averaged 0.66, 0.82 and 0.83 ratings respectively.

Those three have shown improvement since then, averaging 1.02, 1.32 and 1.48 ratings respectively. They have faced mostly weaker teams, however, so we have to take those figures with a grain of salt.

The betting odds show Avant as the favourites, but they should be the other way around. ORDERs performances in the last couple of weeks have been far more reliable, while they also hold a slightly better map record than Avant.
