Toronto Ultra had a couple of iffy games in the CDL Major 3 Qualifier, namely their defeats against Boston Breach (1-3) and London Royal Ravens (2-3). However, they also beat New York Subliners (3-0) just under two weeks ago.

In contrast, the Subliners haven’t had that many concerning showings. Their only two defeats came against the Ultra (0-3) and Seattle Surge (0-3), but they also demolished OpTic Texas (3-0).

Looking back at the last clash between the two teams, Toronto Ultra won without dropping a map, but the series was incredibly close. Besides Search & Destroy (6-3), where Ultra looked like the better team, Control (3-2) and Hardpoint (250-235) were decided by the smallest of margins.

Toronto won their last meeting with the Subliners, yet the final score doesn’t show the full picture. Moreover, New York have looked better since that series, so they’re an easy choice at the offered CoD betting odds.

Seattle Surge went from placing 11th at the CDL Major 2 Qualifier and 9th-12th at the second Major to one of the leading candidates to win CDL Major 3, priced at +400 in the outright betting market at BetOnline. That is mainly due to their strong run through the qualifiers, which the Surge finished with just one loss – a 1-3 upset at the hands of London Royal Ravens.

The same can’t be said for Los Angeles Guerrillas, who clinched a top-eight finish by the skin of their teeth. They had a rough start to the qualifiers, losing against OpTic Texas (0-3), Boston Breach (0-3) and London Royal Ravens (2-3), before securing two crucial wins against two weak teams in Florida Mutineers (3-2) and Las Vegas Legion (3-2).

As the latest CDL betting odds suggest, Seattle Surge shouldn’t struggle against Los Angeles Guerrillas, and we have no reason to argue with that. We can see the Guerrillas winning one map, but at +162, we like Seattle to win 3-0.

OpTic Texas finished the CDL Major 3 Qualifier in seventh place, with quite a messy record. They won against Atlanta FaZe (3-1) but also had a blunder against New York Subliners (0-3) earlier in the week.

Boston Breach have also produced a mixed bag of results. Along with their wins against Toronto Ultra (3-1), London Royal Ravens (3-2), Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-0), and Los Angeles Thieves (3-2), they also endured a rough defeat against Florida Mutineers (1-3).

OpTic Texas have shown higher heights this season, are playing at home, and have a veto advantage, which should be enough for the Green Wall to justify their tag as favourites. Still, we don’t expect it to be an easy match for the local lads.

A moneyline bet on OpTic isn’t a bad choice, but we’re after a bigger payout, so we’re taking the Texan team to win 3-2 on the correct score market.

Minnesota RKKR are 0-3 and 0-5 since their exit from CDL Major 2. Las Vegas Legion are 1-2 with losses against Toronto Ultra (1-3) and Atlanta FaZe (1-3) and one win against Los Angeles Thieves (3-1). Perhaps that victory was a fluke, but it’s tough to say since there’s little we can take from the Legion’s defeats against two of the CDL’s top teams.

We would rank Las Vegas Legion above Los Angeles Guerrillas, but at the offered odds, it’s time to start questioning whether Legion are worth a bet. In the Guerrillas’ defence, they’re decent on Search and Destroy and better than Las Vegas Legion on Hardpoint, so even though their form is an issue, we’re leaning towards Los Angeles Guerrillas with a map advantage for this affair.

Toronto Ultra made a major roster change ahead of the CDL Major 3 Qualifiers, promoting Charlie “Hicksy” Hicks to the main lineup as a replacement for Eli “Standy” Bentz, and so far, it looks like it was a good call. With Hicksy, Toronto Ultra have looked incredible, beating Las Vegas Legion (3-1), OpTic Texas (3-0), and New York Subliners (3-0) while dropping just one map.

The London Royal Ravens have not changed their starting lineup since January, but perhaps they should have. They’re 1-2 ahead of this bout, and the Royal Ravens’ only win came against the Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-2), but they had to play Atlanta Faze (0-3) and Boston Breach (2-3) prior.

Even though the Royal Ravens deserve some slack for losing their first two Call of Duty games, it’s hard to believe this fixture will play out differently. Toronto Ultra are on another level, and if we see the same showing from them as we did across the last few weeks, this could easily end in a 3-0 sweep.

London Royal Ravens enter the final week of CDL Major 3 Qualifier with just one win to their name (1-2), which they secured on Monday against Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-2). It marked London Royal Ravens’ only second victory since the first week of CDL Major 1 Qualifier when they beat the Guerrillas (3-2), translating to an abysmal 2-12 record.

London Royal Ravens have more work to do before contesting top spots, but we could’ve said the same about Seattle Surge not too long ago. A month ago, this would look like a 50/50 affair, but with the improvement Seattle Surge have shown, we do not doubt they can take down London Royal Ravens without much hassle.

Las Vegas Legion are 1-2, which isn’t terrible considering that their only two losses came against Toronto Ultra (1-3) and Atlanta FaZe (1-3). Meanwhile, Minnesota R?KKR are 0-3 with defeats against New York Subliners (2-3), Seattle Surge (0-3), and OpTic Texas (0-3).

R?KKR continuing their dry streak (0-5) is concerning and a bit confusing. They placed third in CDL Major 2 but have since been struggling to show the same level of play; granted, it’s no secret that R?KKR tend to perform worse online.

But no matter how weak R?KKR might look ahead of this affair, they’re still stronger than Las Vegas Legion, who’s yet to show anything remarkable this season. So at the offered CDL betting odds, we will gladly side with Minnesota R?KKR to defeat the Legion.

Florida Mutineers beat Boston Breach (3-1) last week but then lost against Seattle Surge (1-3). The most notable thing from those games was that the Mutineers’ Search & Destroy worsened, and they’ve not looked too good on respawns either, so it’s difficult to give them a good ranking.

On the other side, we have Los Angeles Thieves, who edged their way into the top eight with a 2-3 record and a 40% map win rate. Over the five games, the Thieves stomped Boston Breach and London Royal Ravens (3-0) but couldn’t win a single map against Seattle Surge, OpTic Texas, or the R?KKR, who beat them 3-0 in Week 1 of the qualifiers.

Due to their past success against the Thieves, Minnesota R?KKR are justifiably priced as -227.27 favourites with CoD betting sites – mainly because the Thieves have not shown anything that would indicate that they’re better prepared for a rematch.

?Atlanta FaZe might be the most successful team in the history of the Call of Duty League, but their form of late has not been that great. They placed fifth-eighth at the CDL Pro-Am at the start of the month and could only manage three wins in the CDL Major 3 qualifiers.

Toronto Ultra, unlike FaZe, are on an upwards trajectory. They started the season poorly but found their stride in the Major qualifiers, which they ended with a 4-1 record and only one close defeat against the R?KKR.

Talent-wise, FaZe are better, but only if you consider their ceiling. Toronto Ultra have been playing much cleaner over the last weeks, and for this prediction, we will side with form over talent. That’s not to say that the Ultra lack quality; they just haven’t shown the same highs as prime FaZe yet.

Seattle Surge performed admirably in the Major qualifiers and secured the third seed with victories against Florida Mutineers (3-1), London Royal Ravens (3-0), Los Angeles Thieves (3-0), and Paris Legion (3-1). Even though they didn’t need to face any top dogs, the Surge looked dominant in their wins, so they should do fine when they take on the CDL heavyweights.

New York Subliners won the CDL Pro-Am and have since not looked too bad. Admittedly, they dropped two series in the qualifiers, but those two defeats came against FaZe (1-3) and Toronto Ultra (2-3).

Like the Ultra, New York are improving at an alarming rate and are currently one of the top five teams in the league. However, the Surge are not too far behind, suggesting that this could be a close series.

If we had to pick a side, we would take the Subliners; however, we don’t expect them to dominate the game, so they are not a good pick at the offered CDL betting odds. Instead, we’re on over 4.5 maps at +165.
