Despite entering the 2023 LoL season as the defending world champions, DRX likely won’t be able to defend its crown. The departure of four players following DRX’s World Championship-winning run left the Korean team with a fairly mediocre roster which should be competitive, but we wouldn’t count on Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee and co. to achieve much.
Dplus KIA (formerly DWG KIA) made just two roster changes, bringing in ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu in a swap deal with DRX and top laner Kim “Canna” Chang-dong, forming yet another scary roster. It’s tough to say how high Dplus KIA can fly, but with Deft, the team now has a stable bottom lane, which Dplus KIA have been missing for the past years.
At +120, Dplus KIA to sweep is a no-brainer pick. They have a vastly superior roster to DRX’s and might be the best LCK team heading into the first split of the season.

We would have T1 and Gen.G very close together in our power rankings, and there are arguments to be made for either of the two teams to come out on top of this derby. But while it’s hard to pick a side, the offered LoL betting odds make our job much easier.
Gen.G lost their bottom lane in support Son “Lehends” Si-woo and ADC Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, which was a massive blow to the team and their chances to win the LCK crown. However, the Korean powerhouse brought in a new duo in support Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong and ADC Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan.
On paper, Gen.G’s roster looks weaker than in 2022, but if we see a utility ADC meta, then Gen.G will do just fine. We don’t know whether that’ll be the case, but at -151.52, Gen.G with a map advantage is a far more appealing pick than T1 to sweep.
